How do I access UpToDate through the medical library's institutional subscription?

Answer

If you are eligible to access UpToDate through the medical library's institutional subscription, you can access UpToDate by follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://med.fsu.edu/library in your web browser.
  2. In the Left-side menu, click on Best Bets or Databases A-Z.
  3. Scroll down to UpToDate, and click on it.
  4. You will be prompted to login with your College of Medicine ID & Password.
In most cases, this should be whatever ID & Password you use to login to your COM laptop.

Once you are logged in, you will have access to the UpToDate homepage via the medical library's institutional license. To create or access a personal account, there are two more steps to complete:

  1. Click the green Login button near the top right of the UpToDate homepage.
  2. Create an UpToDate account if you don't have one already, or login with your UpToDate account credentials.

You will need to login to UpToDate at least once every 90 days to keep your UpToDate account connected to the medical library's institutional license. We recommend you set a calendar reminder for every 90 days, and refer back to these instructions as needed.
